Protector Stick

Stick used in the fields and in granaries for spiritual protection of the rice from evil spirits. The figure is shown in a naturally relaxed sitting position; nevertheless the straight back and the rotating head searching the horizon suggest its alert vigilance. Due to its function, in this feature of essential linearism, great emphasis is given to the big eyes.
