Stopper to Bamboo Container

Wooden stopper for closing a bamboo container which was used to store important objects like documents or amulets. The carved part represents a mother with child, both depicted with an essential and stylised trait but strongly impressive because of the woman’s arms that she tenderly puts over the child. The incrustations are due to the practice of sprinkling offers on such amulet figures.
