Kelulong

This piece is an extremely rare example of kelulong pig trap stick. An anthropomorphic figure is depicted in standing position on a rod. The long-limbed shape presents an oval face with strong expressive bulging eyes and open mouth with a protounding tongue. Two arms in high relief are almost detached from the bust, with the right hand under the long tongue and the left hand above the genitals like in other Tunjung figures. The legs are carved in the round. Unlike the tuntun pig trap sticks, the kelulong were left for three nights beside the trap to draw the animal to the trap. Consequently, their appearance is more weathered than the Iban tuntun.
