Zoomorphic Figures. Aso'

Intricate sculptural complex representing two mythical aso’ sitting on a head and holding the face of a Janus-faced figure with a protruding tongue. The three figures are interlocked by three-hooked hands. The flattened outline increases the effect of adhesion and enhances the ferocious bite of the aso’. Encircled by the two animals and sunk into the ground up to the knees, the Janus-faced figure is seized and smashed with strength into a symbolic attitude to underline the protective function of the mythic animal.
