Pig Trap Charm. Tuntun

Tuntun stick depicting on its top an anthropomorphic figure sitting in squatting position. Its body, strongly rectangular in form with flat sides, is realized in an abstract technique for the marked independence of the geometrical forms: the large spherical head is connected to the flat torso through a long cylindrical neck. The sinuous thin limbs emphasize the abstract conception of the piece. The skull is supported by the hands. The open mouth reminds that the figure is calling out the spirit of the animal to the trap. This anthropomorphic figure presents special traits which makes it a magnificent example of sculpture typology from which took inspiration the vanguard artists from the first half of Nineteen century.
